Wholistic Happy Hour - The Courage Response: Training Your Nervous System to Act When It Matters

  • Heavenly Bodega 2765 Fifth Avenue San Diego, CA, 92103 United States (map)

Welcome to Wholistic Happy Hour… where we stop waiting to feel fully ready and start learning how to move through the moments that matter.

This month’s experience, The Courage Response: Training Your Nervous System to Act Under Pressure, explores the connection between bravery, mindfulness, neuroscience, and emotional resilience.

Because courage is not the absence of discomfort. It’s the ability to stay grounded enough to move through it.

Most people don’t struggle because they lack potential. They struggle because the nervous system perceives emotional risk… rejection, visibility, conflict, uncertainty, failure… and reacts before the conscious mind catches up. We overthink. Hesitate. Shut down. Back out.

Not because we’re weak…. Because we’re human.

Inspired by the work of Brené Brown, mindfulness, and nervous system regulation, this immersive evening will explore how guilt, shame, overthinking, and emotional exposure impact our ability to take action… and how to regulate ourselves in real time so we can respond with greater clarity, confidence, and courage.

Jessica was fortunate to study directly through Brown’s CourageWorks program during its original run before it was discontinued, bringing those teachings together with almost three decades of experience in holistic health, stress management, neuroscience, and high pressure real world environments within the music industry.

Expect meaningful conversation, practical tools, MicroMoments for real life nervous system regulation, and a welcoming environment filled with growth minded people learning how to stay steady under pressure and take center stage in their own lives.

Event Highlights

Jessica Chranowski is a Holistic Health Practitioner and founder of Pure Life Therapy. For nearly three decades, she has worked in high pressure environments ranging from backstage with major touring artists to supporting professionals navigating demanding careers where performance, resilience, communication, and emotional regulation matter.

Her Rock n Roll Healer approach blends neuroscience, mindfulness, stress management, and real world experience to help people regulate their nervous systems, think clearly under pressure, and build the confidence to take meaningful action in their lives.

Jessica was also fortunate to study through Brené Brown’s CourageWorks program during its original run, integrating those teachings with practical nervous system tools designed for real life… not just theory.

During this immersive Wholistic Happy Hour, you’ll explore:

  • Why the nervous system reacts to emotional risk, pressure, and uncertainty

  • The connection between courage, confidence, and emotional resilience

  • How guilt and shame quietly fuel hesitation, overthinking, and self-doubt

  • Why emotional exposure can feel physically uncomfortable in the body

  • Real-time MicroMoments to help regulate stress before, during, and after difficult moments

  • How small acts of bravery rewire confidence over time

  • Why recovery after courageous moments is essential for long term growth

This is not therapy. It’s not performative networking. And it’s definitely not about pretending to have it all figured out.

It’s a welcoming environment filled with growth-minded people learning how to stay grounded, think clearly, and take action when life asks them to be brave.

Because courage is not about feeling fearless.
It’s about learning how to move forward while your heart is still racing.

Let’s be real… most people aren’t stuck because they’re incapable. They’re stuck in hesitation. In overthinking. In the moment where the heart races, the mind spirals, and they talk themselves out of the very thing that could change their life.

The Courage Response is about changing that pattern.

Wholistic Happy Hour is where you learn how to stay grounded under pressure, trust yourself more deeply, and move forward before you feel 100% ready.

Good people, meaningful conversation, practical tools you can actually use in real life, and a beautiful courtyard filled with the kind of energy that reminds you who you are when you stop shrinking.

If you’ve been feeling the pull to be braver, clearer, more confident, and more fully yourself… this is your sign.
